Wednesday Evening Update

Pastor Bill is resting comfortably tonight though he is still working hard at his breathing. They were planning to do a CTscan tonight to see if they could figure out what else might be going on that caused the distress yesterday. Pray that the test will give some definitive answers.

One correction is that Pastor Bill DOES NOT have Mersa, but has an infection that is life Mersa in that it is hard to treat without the right combination on antibiotics.

Pastor Bill's daughter, Jan, arrived today from Michigan. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Dear Ruth & family,
A dear pastor we know treasured this song for many years & still does. His name is Morris Williams. It is so fitting in your time of need. I wanted to pass it on to you all.

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Refrain

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

Refrain

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

Refrain

For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

Refrain

But, Lord, ‘tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord!
Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!

Refrain

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

Precious Ruth & family,

I am praying for you all to have the peace that passeth ALL understanding & strength for each hour.

Sending you our love,
Maryann Sefcik

Dear Pastor Bill & Ruth, and family,

Thank you for these daily updates on Pastor Bill's condition.
We know that God can do great and mighty things which we do not know, and we are praying for God's healing touch on Pastor Bill. Praying for wisdom for the doctors and your family.
Rejoicing in the hope that we have in Christ.
May the Lord work all things out to the glory of God and for the good of Pastor Bill.

The Lord bless you all.

O God our Father, your children come today asking for your help. We remember words of Christ Jesus, who told us of Your love and who showed us that Your heart is moved by our need.
Father, you give us strength when we are weak, You lift us up when we are down. When we are lonely and afraid, You are there to comfort and protect us.
We ask for strength just now, for health, for a complete and joyous recovery. We confess our sins and ask for cleansing, through the blood of our Savior.
We give ourselves completely into your care. Hold us close, and keep us from harm. We pray in Jesus Name.
We pray all these things on behalf of the Raws family.

Thank you to all of you who are reading this blog and praying. It means so much to all of us. I have personally been blessed and encouraged so often by what has been written here. The hymns and Scripture you have shared have been just what I needed to hear. No matter what the outcome, we know the Lord is blessed by our drawing near to Him.
With love and gratitude,
Karen

Hello to our readers,

Thanks to the Sefcik's for the added verses to "It is Well."

Our challenge is to persevere with our friends at this apparently extended time. As they say in SIM: By Prayer.
