Saturday morning update

I just spoke with Cherri and Pastor Bill is a little more awake today, following them with his eyes and making some mouth movements. His respiration rate is slightly better and his temperature seems to be controlled.

They are waiting to talk with his pulmonologist which will possibly give them a better handle on the big picture.

I know that the family deeply appreciates your prayers. As you can see, there are many of you signing on to check the blog who never leave a message. I want you to know that your messages are a HUGE blessing and comfort. So please, don't just sign on -- leave a message!!!

Dear Ruth and family,
We check in on Pastor Bill several times a day and are praying for all of you constantly. There is a song that comes to mind, (the His in the song is God) "when you can't see His hand, trust His heart." Even when we can't understand, we can TRUST. We love all of you and pray God's strength for you through this difficult time. Love, Tom and Connie Wheeler

Hi Mrs. Raws and Pastor Bill,
I am one of those that always checks in and doesn't always leave a message. But you all have been on my heart and have been praying for your recovery and strength through this whole ordeal. May our LORD strengthen you this day as you cast your burdens on HIM.
Love in our LORD,

One more thought from Mary Ella...
This Keswick song keeps running through my mind...and praying it will run through yours too.

Jesus I am resting, resting in the joy of what Thor art;
I am finding out the greatness of Thy loving heart.

Please know that i am praying for Pastor Bill and Ruth and family as you all go through this time, as someone said, a baby step at a time. The Lord's timing is perfect.

Pastor Raws and Mrs. Raws
I am also convicted of logging on just to check up.
I remember a sermon he gave on 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 in the Colony Chapel during my time there. His words that morning were strong and kept me going...I pray those same words apply now.

Dear Ruth, Pastor Raws and All your Loved Ones: I have been following your information regularly and appriciate very much that we, who care so much, are being kept up-to-date. You are so much in my thoughts and prayers. Knowing how much the prayers of so many are making all the difference in our lives during my daughter's present long illness, I have a great need to pray for all of you, knowing how much this will help in these endless hours of deep concern for the complete recovery of your husband and father. May God surround all of you with His healing and comforting love and mercy, and give you the strenght for each new day. I am sure your biggest source of strength is knowing that you can cast all your burdens in God's loving hands and trusting the He knows and is able to lead this overwhelming illness to the best possible outcome for all concerned. I will keep you in my prayers. In Christian Love, Bertel Vogt.

agkgmoDear Ruth -
Thru daughter, Jane Roberts, we have been up-dated on Bill's progress. I pray for the Lord's will in his life. My favorite verse lately has been Phil. 4: 6-8.
